More than 100 key stakeholders of the commercial and residential property automation market have presented brand-new equipment and complex solutions at the international Hi-Tech Building 2017 Exhibition which ended on November 2 in Moscow. This year 12,903 people have attended the exhibition which is 9% more than the number of guests last year (11,836 people).
Among the most outstanding events which the exhibition featured it’s worth mentioning the Future technologies for Commercial property Round table discussion where Russian development, management companies and equipment suppliers discussed the digital economy features for the construction industry, lack of competitive advantages of Russian developers compared to the Western companies, and an urgent need not to be behind the whole world in terms of technologies. A dynamic 2-hour discussion allowed considering points of view of several parties. There were discussed implemented cases, for example, real Smart city built in Skolkovo. The city is controlled via the digital clone which allows creating models, conducting researches, performing data analysis and predict the results. Among other examples are commercial objects: smart solutions complex for the Riviera Shopping and Entertainment Centre; the innovative Demidov Business Center and the Krasnaya Roza Business Quarter by KR Properties; the North Tower of the Moscow International Business Center (MIBC) “Moscow City” governed by the Group of Companies “RK Group”; the “Energy” Business Center in St. Petersburg and many others. There was also covered the topic of lean management in construction which allows minimizing costs at any stage as well as steel construction which saves significant funds during the full cycle of buildings operation. The challenges concerning the construction market development among which the sluggish standards in the Russian Federation, lack of intention by the Government to delegate powers and the privacy of geodata were also mentioned. Besides, the representatives of equipment manufacturers having serious expertise in developing and integrating solutions made a speech. Such solutions could be found at the stands of the Hi-Tech Building participants, and in action they could be seen in the Smart City installations built at the show floor.
For the new Future Technologies for HoReCa objects conference an ambitious objective has been set i.e. establishment of a dialog among hoteliers, restaurant-keepers and modern equipment and solutions suppliers. It is a great deal to convince the hoteliers today to invest into the modern technologies because the return on investments is not obvious to them. Besides, even when becoming a series, technologies in our country are not getting any cheaper, and equipment updating requires extra charges. The hotel marketing issues which shall be based on a serious big data analytics and practice of automation technologies implementation for hotel business caused interest of the audience. Among other hot topics - the practice in relation to the hotel environment design, flexibility of layout planning and mobile constructions, the importance of technologies integration at the stage of engineering as well as loyalty programs which are of utmost importance for hotels and restaurant services were discussed.
The leading manufacturers and integrators who presented advanced technologies for hotels and restaurants described the solutions that simplify hoteliers work and help to save costs. During the break the guests were suggested to visit the actual Smart Hotel and Smart Digital Café installations.
Designers, project developers, architects and the integrators met at the Smart Design School Event annually organized within the exhibition. A lot of famous designers, architects and project developers made a speech and shared their views on modern technologies integration into real-life objects and leading equipment suppliers introduced new products of the smart houses and smart offices spheres. Among the defined objectives it is necessary for integrators to establish a dialogue with regional designers who lack information, skilled professionals on sites of further service support for clients. The design-sphere needs innovative solutions aimed at different budget-oriented client groups. An integrator should be able to accessibly explain to an architect or a designer the future benefits of engineering and multimedia systems installation as it is a designer who offers the solutions to clients.
There is one more broad market for implementation of innovations which is the cultural facilities market. The Digital Museum. Innovative Technologies for Museums and Exhibition Areas conference for museums and exhibition areas representatives was organized at the Hi-tech Building Exhibition. It has set a scene for discussion a necessity to implement various engineering and multimedia novelties in museums. The representatives of Non-profit organization ADIT, ICOM of Russia, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Polytechnic Museum, the State Tretyakov gallery, the Kazan Kremlin, the State Hermitage, the Darwin Museum, the Museum of Russian Impressionism representatives as well as the representatives of Apatit, Research and Development Centre Gazpromneft corporate museums and leading solutions suppliers and integrators have participated in the conference this year.
Technologies and solutions relevant for the buildings automation market were discussed at the Intellectual Building. Smart House specialized conference and the KNX Forum which annually gather professionals of the sphere. Casto Cañavate, KNX Association representative, introduced the ways and the reasons for interaction of the KNX ecosystem with other IT and IoT systems. Among other topics highlighted by the speakers is the KNX graphic configurator called E-configure (Schneider Electric), cross-functional KNX devices (Ekinex), residential and commercial property automation (ABB), variants of simple alerting implementation for KNX (Iridium) along with a wide range of topics from the leading suppliers such as Alphaopen, Wago, HDL, Embedded Systems, Simple Distribution, Z-Wave.Me Russia, the Bolid Scientific and Implementational Enterprise, EFO LLC.
Another Hi-Tech Building 2017 novelty is the AVIXA and KNX Professional Associations Day. Pam Taggart, Avixa association, and Casto Cañavate, KNX association, made reports about associations development strategy and plans for the future, as well as shared their estimates and figures on the markets.
In addition to the eventful business program the exhibition guests could visit the actual installations of the Smart City built to clearly demonstrate complex solutions to customers. There you could visit the Smart House, Smart Hotel, Digital Museum, Smart Digital Café, Control Unit and Situation Center and VR-cinema and get acquainted with outside lighting solutions. The strategic partner for the project is the Skolkovo Fund.
Besides, at the exhibition you could get an insight into the exposition of the Skolkovo Fund residents’ joint stand where 17 companies of power-efficient allocation unit including AlphaOpen, IQEnergy, MZTA, Cybernetic Technologies, Tion-Smart Micro-Climate, Fotoplast, Whitex, Ecolight, INSOLAR, Legov, QmoduleLab, the Genesis Engineering Company, Novoproekt, AIRTRON, Building System Technology, Iridium, Strij Telematics were presented. The majority of the Skolkovo participants which presented their developments at the High-Tech Building 2017 noted that at the exhibition they managed to find regional distributors for expanding their networks in Russia.
Further on – a subsequent dialogue and a search for mutually-beneficial solutions, that is why we invite everyone to attend the Hi-Tech Building 2018 Exhibition which is to take place from October 24, 2018 to October 26, 2018 at the Expocentre.
